Business process analytics

Corvette company specializes in providing Internet access services for natural and legal persons in Moscow.

Within the BSS system implementation project (Business Support System) we analyzed business processes needed to be automated. For example, handling of users applications by call-center and the help desk department, support of all the procedures neccessary to connect the customer to the Internet and IPTV.

Our analysts carried out much works for the organizational structure of the company exploration. Basing on the singled out interconnections between participants they created about 20 diagrams describing divisions interaction procedures in detail and defined the format of the data transferred and stored. The document describing the process in text form, dictionaries and legends are attached to every diagram. The implementation of BSS was held by foreign company so all works were carried out both in Russian and English.

Used business processes modeling standard — BPMN. Tools — Borland Together, Sybase Power Designer.

Payment systems interaction and financial component requirements fixing was a separate work by which a package of in-line documentation was created.

The project lasted for more than six months, more than 80 hours of meetings were held, hundreds of pieces of documentation written and many times rewritten, a quarter of liter of plotter ink and dozens of meters Whatman paper spent. This was our first experience in this field, and we are pleased with the result.
